I'm sorry, I'm only replying to this because my name was singled out for some reason. I'm not entirely sure what you are trying to tell me here, while I consider my English quite passable, it isn't my native language and I honestly have no idea what you were trying to tell me here ... if anything at all.

Sorry! At work "Check Out foe." It is a a way to not see people's posts.

In the User Control Panel, there is a function called Friends & Foes. Adding me to "Foe" ensures that you cannot fully see what I post, thus being "Ignored".

Oh, thank you very much ... I'll give that feature a try the next time when I think someone's posts are more upsetting than constructive. I'll leave things the way they are for now.
I wish I could steer this back on topic, but other than asking a stupid question, I don't have much to contribute:
Does anyone know what may be the root cause of these new slowdowns? Any specific ckeck-in?

Is accelerated layers on by default (and, what is the pref for it?). I had one instance where I clicked on an article title (link) in Google Reader to open it in a background tab and the Reader tab went black and the background tab just sat there showing it was loading but nothing was really happening. I could not switch tabs. I was able to close and cold start the browser and things appear fine. I tried reproducing the situation and things worked fine--I could not repeat the situation.

I'm wondering why your animated gif isn't showing properly. Opening the link shows it as expected, though.

Something to do with Dierect2d/Direct Write Acceleration I guess. Once the Devs sort through all of the Bug reports they will figure it out.

Sigh! I posted this 2 or 3 pages back - does no one read before posting ?
The cause is listed in this bug: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=593361 a patch has been attached and now appears to have approval - when it will land is anyone's guess.
The patch-writer lives in NZ, near Aukland in the northern part of the island, but I have no idea if he was affected by the big earthquake today, so it could perhaps be awhile.

Thanks. It is indeed still off for me. My situation may very well have been one of those rare aberrations.
EDIT: Actually, what I am seeing is the content portion of the browser window blank out--go black or white--and not display any content as it should. I can "switch" tabs, but their content does not show. Only the window title changes. I am seeing this with most extensions disabled--all except LastPass--but without reliable STR, I cannot draw any conclusions yet. I am wondering if it may be related to the slow scrolling as I have seen some indications of that.

Google doodle is slow for me too.
This whole build feels a bit more laggy for some reason.
