We had beta 5 one 7th, Beta 6 on 14th, may be we get Beta 7 on 21st and Beta 8 around 28th?

Looks like a weekly release to me.

Complete work on all blocking bugs by October 15th? Good luck with that. :-"

No, beta 6 was a quick release to fix a couple bugs on windows and OSX. It was really more of a beta 5.1.

Not me, I'd much rather see Beta 7 around October 1st and Beta 8 around mid month, then maybe final early November.. It shouldn't be rushed at this point, there is still so much that should be fixed before it's in a releasable state.

https://wiki.mozilla.org/Firefox/4/Beta#Milestones I don't think this page has been updated, or falling behind.

It has to be just you because nothing landed that would cause it to be faster, only a CSS memory bug, but that shouldn't be anything noticeable.

For somebody with a lot less RAM, it might make a noticeable difference. Seems a bit faster to me, too.

Just curious, is there an easy way to copy and paste a bug with link to bug number only? Like for the green/red list.

I'm using bb tags extension which only gives me a whole link like this:
Bug 595671 – Animated images (GIFs) cause severe performance issues

Was there a checkin for loading tabs on first view? If i go the Panorama all thumbnails are empty and the tab content is loaded when i view that tab the first time.

From the menu bar, View - Character encoding doesn't show a selected encoding.

The menu under Minefield -> Developer Tools -> Character encoding does correctly.
Confirmed / known bug?
