Firefox start up delay
My Firefox browser is starting up delayed. It takes about 20 secs for Firefox to come up, after the first startup, this problem doesn't occur. I tried it on several configurations, all the same issue....

Hi ... I just timed mine at 12 seconds on an "old clunker" which is our family PC (e.g., Windows 98 SE, 128MB RAM). I have better PCs but use this one in morning - lol ... If you use a lot of extensions (esp. TBE) this can extend load times. My version is a "vanilla" FF 1.0 with no extensions so I get optimal performance on our boat anchor PC.

The reason FF takes longer to start the first time is because it has to load all of its components into RAM. Unlike IE which loads itself when your system is started because it is integrated into the OS.
As you found out once FF is loaded the startup time is as quick, if not quicker in my case, than IE.
