The Official Win32 20040719 [Br/Tr] builds are out.

Post by Peter(6) »

NEW(20040717) : The Official Win32 ..... builds are out , RSS feed

The Official Win32 2004-07-19 [Aviary Branch] is out.
http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/2004-07-19-10-trunk/The Official Win32 2004-07-19 [Trunk] is not yet out.

The previous Official Win32 build was 2004-07-18 BRANCH || 2004-07-18 TRUNK

The latest nightly general directories: Official Branch || Official Trunk] || Unofficial Branch/Trunk

Firefox 0.9.2 Releasenotes || Extensions || Themes

If you find problems/bugs:
  1. Post them in this thread
  2. Properly describe the problem
  3. Include the url where you have the problem (if this is the case)
  4. Include the "about mozilla firefox" information (under the help button)
  5. Installer build or .zip version?
  6. Did you completely erase the Firefox directory first?
  7. Does a new profile fix the problem?
  8. Include the list of extensions you have installed (preferably none to start with)
This makes it a lot easier for others to duplicate your problem.

A coupla bugs I couldn't find on bugzilla:

1) "To protect your computer, Application prevented blahblahblah from installing software" bar should be "Firefox prevented..."

2) More of a usability bug: There needs to be an allow once for a website, like on the popup manager when you can open a popup window that was blocked, you need to be allowed to install software that was blocked without allowing the whole website. Allowing the whole website isn't secure.

Ok apologies for the double post, but this looks like good news, regarding:

Patched but not completely fixed:

1. BRANCH:#252063 Firefox doesn't start (clean build) [All] - Smoketest in progress

----- Additional Comment #4 From Frederic Bezies 2004-07-19 04:14 PDT [reply] -------

I built a firefox with your checkin and I get a working firefox. Thanks for the
patch.

------- Additional Comment #5 From Steffen Wilberg 2004-07-19 04:20 PDT [reply] -------

-> Build Config, 1.0 Branch, taking, and ...

------- Additional Comment #6 From Steffen Wilberg 2004-07-19 04:22 PDT [reply] -------

... fixed!

Checkin was 2004-07-19 02:40. Someone still needs to fix the tinderboxes unless
they decide to clobber themselves.

So this is now set to:
Status: RESOLVED
Resolution: FIXED

why is FF not remembering logins?

Blogger.com has a Remember Me check box, but if I restart Firefx, I have to log into blogger again...the same thing will happen to other websites....

Cookies not working?

Delete the cookie/login
close FF
open FF
login again and see if it remembers the next time ?
It works on some sites for me, on others it doesn't.
I haven't figured out why.

Possibly this bug mentioned over in the Mozilla builds forum (it's a back-end thing, so probably affects Firefox builds too - if you're using a trunk build)

since the early 0.8+ nightlys firefox became more buggy and buggy than ever before! because of this bugs i also can't use the 0.9.2 milestone. and everytime we get one new feature and at least two new bugs every day. this can't get along anymore.
this weekend i will go on holiday for 3 weeks in turkey and i hope when i return, i can see a stable firefox again. *dream*
