Hi...
I installed and modded FireFox and now i cannot stop using it, and won't do it.
The thing is that i used IE before, and i used a lot a plugin called IESnap
IESnap saves the whole website (even if u have long scroll) to a png file.

Code: Select all
http://www.tonec.com/products/iesnap/

While doing some research @ bugzilla i found this

Code: Select all
http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=112702

and it'd be nice also to have this feature completed: File - Save as - Image

;)

What da ya think guys?
I'm not a xtreme programmer but well... i think it'd be very useful for webdesigners whom don't like to give previews of their work in HTML ... :)

Uhm, you're aware of the fact that once you put the page online everyone can see the HTML code anyway? :P
I don't see much use for such a feature but maybe someone will write an extension for it...

U know...
I make PHP websites, and i don't want my clients 2 c any php source... but well..
When i'm in the design phase, i always used IESnap to send complete screenshots everyday to show the progress of the website... coz i don't have 24x7 Internet connection to keep updating the website status online ... i develop them localhostly ( lol ) and then up it finished...

but well,... i went off main subject... i'd love to have this feature added in FireFox... or maybe an extension...

;)

Ok I can see your point. In the bug report you mentioned someone linked to this tool.
Auto-scrolls and concurrently captures long web pages and other. documents, enabling it to grab more than is visible on the screen.

Maybe that will do the job until such a feature is available for FF.
