The Official 2004-09-01 [Br/Tr] builds are out

Post by Mad Maks »

The official 2004-09-01 Branch builds are out
Win Setup, Win Zip and Linux.

The Official 2004-09-01 Trunk builds are out
Win Setup, Win Zip, Mac and Linux.

The previous official build was ->2004-08-27.

These are changes between 2004-08-27 and now
Both fixes for MailNews and Thunderbird are included

If you find problems/bugs:
  1. Post them in this thread
  2. Properly describe the problem
  3. Include the url where you have the problem (if this is the case)
  4. Include the "about mozilla thunderbird" information (under the help button)
  5. Installer build or .zip version?
  6. Did you completely erase the Thunderbird directory first?
  7. Does a new profile fix the problem?
  8. Include the list of extensions you have installed (preferably none to start with)
This makes it a lot easier for others to duplicate your problem.

You are listing the same patches for past few days. Does that mean they r under review and not yet linked?

Perhaps a bit offtopic, but opening a completely new topic seems a bit overdone: Does anyone know how to migrate from a trunk to a branch nightly, or could someone point me in the general direction? Searching for migration on the forums turns up zilch.

BUG Forwarding: Very strange !!!

Post by aedificavit »

Can anybody test this one ?

( at least in IMAP server )

1) I start Thunderbird
2) I forward a message with several threads inside ( mode Inline )
It's Ok, the message is correctly attached and the text from the last thread is put inside the message's body.
3) I close this window without sending the message
4) I forward the message again but this time the last thread that appeared before in the message's body doesn't appear now !!!!!... It's lost and doesn't appear anywhere.... !!!
Subsequently forwards have the same problem from this point and I mus restart Thunderbird....

I've been experiencing problems with Forwarding messages ( in mode inline ) in almost every 07+ build ( sometimes with the headers, sometimes with the HTML format ..... ) ... Could anyone take a look at the "Forwarding" feauture and debug it ?

Thanx a lot.

I must say that the problem appears in this build but it doesn't appear in "0.7+ (20040831)"

message in body does not appear

Post by Machtyn »

I have version 1.0.2, recently upgraded from 0.7+. Both versions have the same problem.

I am using IMAP, but that doesn't seem to be the problem. I setup Outlook Express and I can see the messages and attachments just fine.

Several things, it just happens with messages that have attachments. They aren't forwarded messages. I do have the Junk Filter turned on.

Is there a fix for this now?

Machtyn:
Try to lower your number of connections, which is defaulted at 5.
Tools > Account Settings > [account] > Server Settings > Advanced.
