Special bug # 253831 to report popups that aren't blocked by Firefox popup blocker

The Official Win32 ..... builds are out , RSS feed (new, opens html page with RSS button)
IRC channel #Firefox
IRC channel #Spreadfirefox

The Official Win32 2004-09-23 [Aviary Branch] is out.
The Official Win32 2004-09-23 [Trunk] is out.

The previous Official Win32 build was 2004-09-22 BRANCH || 2004-09-22 TRUNK

The latest nightly general directories: Official Branch || Official Trunk || Unofficial Branch/Trunk

Firefox 1.0PR Releasenotes || Extensions || Themes

If you find problems/bugs:
  1. Post them in this thread
  2. Properly describe the problem
  3. Include the url where you have the problem (if this is the case)
  4. Include the "about mozilla firefox" information (under the help button)
  5. Installer build or .zip version?
  6. Did you completely erase the Firefox directory first?
  7. Does a new profile fix the problem?
  8. Include the list of extensions you have installed (preferably none to start with, especially not TBE)
This makes it a lot easier for others to duplicate your problem.

I found a very trivial bug and I was wondering if it was worth filing a bug report.

1. Select some text on the website you are currently viewing. Notice the color of the background of the selected text (probably blue).
2. Open the find toolbar and search for a term that is present on the site you are viewing. Notice the color of the background of the found text (probably green).
3. Leave the find toolbar open. Now, select some text on the website again. Notice the highlight color is not the default system select color, but the same color as find as you type.

Closing the find toolbar returns the background color back to normal. Also, this only occurs if you select in the page first and then search. Searching and then selecting some terms still uses the default background color.

Edit: Edited for clarity.

Can't be sure if I'm reproducing it right or not. Using Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20040921 Beatrat/0.10 (MOOX M3) and I'm not seeing it.

Another suggested addition to make the "red" list even longer:

Bug 243324 Download manager fails to close with small files

...which is a regression (20 votes)

I'm still waiting for Bug 257285 to be fixed in the branch builds.
This one has been a pain for some time now.

Yah that's anoying. I use the Download Manager Tweak and tell it to wait 500ms to display the download window. For small downloads the file doesn't take that long and this bug isn't present.

Not a fix, just a possible work-a-round.

What probably happened to him was that the forum software reported some kind of "could not send e-mail" error so he tried again a few times unaware that only the e-mail notification had failed, while each reply was posted. I'm only guessing here since that's what nearly happened to me too.

I agree... this bug should be added to this list, it's an annoying bug, probably the most annoying one I have voted for so far.
