The Official Win32 20041013 [Br/Tr] builds are out.

Post by Peter(6) »

Special bug # 253831 to report popups that aren't blocked by Firefox popup blocker

The Official Win32 ..... builds are out , RSS feed (new, opens html page with RSS button)
IRC channel #Firefox
IRC channel #Spreadfirefox

Allthough builds after 20041002 identify themselves as Firefox 0.10 , they DO have the security patch INCLUDED
The Official Win32 2004-10-13 [Aviary Branch] is out.
The Official Win32 2004-10-13 [Trunk] is out.

The previous Official Win32 build was 2004-10-11 BRANCH || 2004-10-12 TRUNK

The latest nightly general directories: Official Branch || Official Trunk || Unofficial Branch/Trunk

Firefox 1.0PR Releasenotes || Extensions || Themes

If you find problems/bugs:
  1. Post them in this thread
  2. Properly describe the problem
  3. Include the url where you have the problem (if this is the case)
  4. Include the "about mozilla firefox" information (under the help button)
  5. Installer build or .zip version?
  6. Did you completely erase the Firefox directory first?
  7. Does a new profile fix the problem?
  8. Include the list of extensions you have installed (preferably none to start with, especially not TBE)
This makes it a lot easier for others to duplicate your problem.

I want to see that they fixed the bookmark problem in 20041012 load, or there will be very few downloading and testing for other problems. I won' t be downloading today's build.

Marke, the red ones aren't any sort of official list. They're either things that were broken from one nightly to the next, or things that readers of this thread just find especially annoying. Since there's nothing official about the list (especially the latter type, which developers refer to as "pet bugs"), there's no telling as a category when they'll be fixed. Some will be much quicker than others.

Geezus... One of yesterday's fixes was Klingon Support...

As they say on Fark.com, still no cure for cancer...

Do tinderbox/trunk builds have security patch?

Yes, Bug #257337 appears squashed

Yes, I mentioned it a couple days ago, in a post called something like "can bugs fix themselves?". I haven't even used a new profile.

That's not 'very bad' because there's a very simple workaround for it -> use the correct link, not the 301'd one.

No way is a favicon bug ever going to block, I'm afraid. They're nice, but they aren't that important.

Wrong Favicons being loaded might block, but favicons not being loaded at all definately wouldn't.
