The Official 2004-10-28 Branch builds
Win setup, Win Zip, Linux and Mac.

The Official 2004-10-28 Trunk builds
Win Setup, Win Zip, Linux and Mac.

Red is not yet out at the editing time of this thread.
Green is out at the editing time of this thread.

The previous official build thread was ->2004-10-27.

These are changes between 2004-09-27 and now
Both fixes for MailNews and Thunderbird are included

If you find problems/bugs:
  1. Post them in this thread
  2. Properly describe the problem
  3. Include the url where you have the problem (if this is the case)
  4. Include the "about mozilla thunderbird" information (under the help button)
  5. Installer build or .zip version?
  6. Did you completely erase the Thunderbird directory first?
  7. Does a new profile fix the problem?
  8. Include the list of extensions you have installed (preferably none to start with)
This makes it a lot easier for others to duplicate your problem.

Is there a version problem? When first fired up it, this build disabled some of my extensions which should have been ok and upon checking in About TB, it is showing the 0.6+ version number

Yeah the view source bug is out of the way.
I agree with Outsider that it was indeed annoying.
Slowly, but surely TB marches in the right direction.
I like it!
Thanks Mad Maks for the updates again.

if your UA shows 0.6+ then you downloaded a trunk build by accident. Branch builds now say 0.8+

version 0.8+ (20041028) has an annoying little bug (yes, I did get rid of the previous version) wherein marking something as junk doesn't advance the 'highlighting' to the next email message, but just gives you a blank screen. When you're wading through 300+ emails, this gets to be a pain. (this was the installer version for windows)

addendum: I just noticed you get the same effect if you delete too quickly through a series of emails.

Is the branch the tree that will become TB 0.9? Or trunk?

Will we have the updated spellchecker in by 1.0?

Also, will interface improvements be made or will you wait for post-1.0 to make interface improvements? My biggest complaint is the rigidity of the interface. I'd like to be able to move things around, slim bars down, possibly exclude the info bar in the preview pane, and even have an option for putting the address book in the lower left corner next to the preview pane.

I noticed the same bug and it is very annoying. I had to shutdown Thunderbird -process manually and then after starting Thunderbird it still hangs. But when I kill process again and start Thunderbird works again.... (Until it hangs again.)

I have Windows XP SP2.

yes i also seen and reported this for build 20041022
This one is quite annoying. One Tip if you select more then 1 message and you press junk then the next is selected!
So i always try to do this..
Als you can with the arrow keys (up/down) bring back the selection into the list. But then only to the top message...

Is bug 58612 ever going to get fixed? I mean its almost been a month since the patch 'should have been attached soon'. Or am I just being picky?

What is the story with extre non-printable(tab?) characters in email subjects? Outlook does not have any problems with subjects divided onte several lines, but Thunderbird shows broken.
