You can't find it becaus it's not out. Wait and watch http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/ ... /releases/ and when it appears there as 1.0rc2 then it is out. Not before then.

It's out, at least in a nightly form. I'm using Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20041031 Firefox/1.0RC2, for example. Look here.

The nightly says RC2 but it's just a nightly. They bumped the version # in anticipation but it isn't RC2 until it's in the releases folder.

Hi all, yes RC2 was just put out, and I am currently using it. It looks and feels very stable it's a bit hard to find you have to do the nightly then find the 31st for the OS you are using and get it. So far it works with all the RC1 Extentions I have installed and everything seems to be stable as I said. /Get it and be happy. The installer does not crash on this one.

It is not RC2. They have changed the version name as a part of the preparing of the RC2 release.

RC2 Releases

Post by BenneJezzerette »

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20041031 Firefox/1.0RC2

This is my latest build information. \:D/ and RC2 may not be officially out but it will be and then soon the Gold release will be out. But Since I am using it this way. Seems to be very stable and very well done. By far Firefox can not be surpassed and if anyone thinks IE is better maybe they just can't deal with better and think Microsoft knows best.

RC1 Vs. RC2

Post by BenneJezzerette »

The main differences are just coding. The best part is it is slimmer and lots more stable thus allowing a more stable Gold Release. :monkey: and when that arrives I can guess millions upon millions will be downloading it, ordering the CD and Guide book and even Tshirts. :turn-l: Sure wish they would do Baby Doll T's then alll us girls who Love Firefox could show it too.

What is this "Gold" release talk? This post is the first I've heard of that terminology regarding Firefox.
