I use many windows and tabs, often more than 50 tabs. I'm often frustrated that I can't find the right tab for GMail or other page, sometimes spending more than 30 seconds trying to find it to discover that it was closed or very hidden. Exposé doesn't help, because I can often not remember which window that tab was opened in and tab names are unreadable in Exposé.
Therefore I'd like to suggest adding a tab list tool window which lists all tabs in all windows in one single place. This is way more useful than the current method with window selecting that only displays the current tab for a given window.
I threw a concept screenshot together quickly:
The window is just a simple inspector and should be toggled on/off with a hotkey, so it never gets in the way if you don't like it. It's also searchable, so you could type in "gmail" and it would find that tab for you in the list. Click the entry and the window with the tab would come to front with the selected tab.
What do you think?

Nice idea! i was actually thinking of something similar just 30 mins ago, your concept is just better than what i quickly made up in my mind.

Imagine if that information was fed to, say, Spotlight- in a live manner (assuming that's possible with Spotlight, I use Panther). That would be neat if Spotlight or Butler or Quicksilver or whatever could be made to search such dynamic data somehow.

henrik, it's a quite nice idea and hopefully useful for many users!
me, for myself, can hardly imagine to use a browser with *50 open tabs*, though. It would be much faster for me to select the url via bookmarks or the history.

I'm in the same boat though not as extreme as 50 opened tabs, maybe 20-ish max. I'd be all over that feature if someone would develop it either in-house of 3rd party. Regretfully I can't code to save my life, I barely understand html.
Shiira's Tab Expose serves a similar purpose and is a great idea but I haven't tested Shiira much these days, especially since Camino hit 1.0 beta so I can't tell how robust it is when handling that many tabs.

I'd code it in a minute if I could, but unfortunately I don't know enough of XCode, ObjC and the Camino sources to do it.
Is this the right place for the main coders to see it or should it be posted elsewhere?

Since there's only a couple actual devs that read the forum (and most don't read the entire forum), feature requests should *always* be reported to bugzilla...
(... After first searching for the request in question, of course.)

I hope to have a few more things done by the end of the week while Amo is out of town. Keep you eyes peeled to bonsai for more updates.
Well, this'll help Inquisitor.

It appears that several of yahoo's features are not yet compatible, is this fix on your end or theirs?

Mostly theirs. Specifically what features are you referring to?

So what kind of new features/fixes can we expect in upcoming builds? Anything noteworthy coming soon?

Also, how about listing opened tabs in the contextual menu when you control-click the tab? I usually don't keep more than 15 tabs but their names still got snipped out. So it looks like this:
New Tab
Move Tab to a New Window
---------
Reload Tab
Reload All Tabs
---------
Close Tab
Close Other Tabs
---------
Opened Tabs: (note: greyed out/unclickable)
Title of tab 1
Title of tab 2

The contextual menus are dangerously near the point of being bloated atm, and adding something that could grow quite large is not going to fly. Plus, that's something that needs to be in an accessible location, such as the window menu or the palette proposed above.
