Excellent build

Post by SwampFan »

I've been using the 7/12 build for some time, waiting on some good bug fixes before switching to a new nightly. I must say, this is the best build I've seen in some time. Now, if aebrahim can build us an optimized version with these same fixes, it will look like Christmas came early!

And then if such a fixed and optimized release were to be adopted as the official 0.6.1 ...

since jenkins is using vc++6, would it not be possible to build a P4 optimised build using that?

I noticed a few pecularities with this build. Note that it's probably not related to who built the nightly, but to the actual Mozilla core code and/or my system. Apart from a few crashes on a couple of websites I got something really weird at home. I was checking out some bank websites when my monitor started going on/off when I went to http://www.commerceonline.com/ When I logged out from Win2k my monitor stopped going on/off. Also note that I got a similar thing using IE. I am not sure what could be the problem, should I check video drivers? I am unable replicate this at work, could be different hardware and also at work I am behind a proxy.

Thanx

Just installed this build. I have problem visualizing this page:
http://www.tiscali.it/

Often the centre of the page appears blank. Some other time shows everything allright. I think it's something related to the iframes, cause I think this page randomly shows some adds...

No problems with the 07-21 build..

Bye

EDIT: hitting reload some times I just get the same problem with the 07-21... :(

I've tried the tiscali page with:

- Firebird 21-07
- Firebird by jenkins 22-07 (back fix)
- Mozilla 1.5b 24-07
- K-meleon Version 0.7.1 : Build 2 : Moz 07-22-2003 (unofficial Mozimeleon by http://gratisdei.com/KM.htm)
EDIT: - Firebird 25-07 1.5a trunk (0.6.1rc)
EDIT: - Firebird 26-07 1.5b (0.6.1)

And hitting reload some times I always get the same blank center column....

A bug in gecko?

Bye
