I only use the themer, chromedit, and mouse gestures. Some poeple can't live without TBE, but I think TBE is too bloated. I also use checky to check my website designs. That's all.

Can't live without mouse gestures... Oh, you might want TTLO (Things They Left Out)
I'm weird, damn

I use Adblock, Pop-up Alt Attributes, Tabbrowser Extensions (only because when I do use tabs I want them on the bottom) and the extremely necessary Compact Menu.

TBE definitely. Wheerdam is right, it is somewhat bloated, but I am one of those people who live by it. And also it's the only extension I use. I tried AiO but didn't use it enough. Some people (former Opera users especially but not exclusively) live by it, however. Definitely give it a whirl.

... the download statusbar. That's about everything I need.

Tried TBE. Very impressive but it decreases the responsiveness (?) of the browser :(

Solely depends on your browsing habits. :)

I only use CompactMenu and recently also Mozex.

And a local proxy (Proxomitron) to filter ads and other unwanted page content.

tbe definitely
nuke image - all kinds of fun, and very nice if you're sitting on one page
compact menu - just rediscovered this one. now i can't do without it, and i can't wait till it's on tb
flash click to view
text links - very very very nice, if you get tired of copy & paste

i've tried download statusbar on several occasions, but i have regretted it each time. i had to get a new profile last time just so that i could check my download progress w/o using a sidebar. seems like a good idea, though.

I would love to add Mozex to my list. If someone can tell me where to find very explicit directions on how to configure it for Linux, I'm there!
