I just found my favorite theme...

Post by BillyG »

It is the X-MAS theme from Microsoft that just came out.

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/deta ... layLang=en

I reverted to my own desktop skin and changed the mouse pointer to 3-D White and it really looks good with the "snow" colored title bars, etc.
Not to mention how it looks with my NOIA extreme FF theme!

Anyway, try it out, you'll prolly like it too.

While your at it, you can download the beta MSN desktop search utility that just came out. I don't use IE, MSN Search (although the desktop searchbar does, shucks), Outlook or any of that stuff but the convenience of having a desktop search box on the taskbar is great. G/L.

I posted it elsewhere the other day but here it is again:

Turns out my desktop searchbar never did work so I uninstalled it, waiting on the next version (it was beta anyway) although it sure looked good on the Microsoft video they put out. The downside was that it used IE for the results and I didn't see how to change it, yet!

I am in utter shock, the theme is so ugly I feel as though I have died. Ugh.

broadband (circa $40 a month/1.33 a day) is definetly the way to go

"so ugly I feel as though I have died"???

to each his own but you must be on crack if you feel that a fading metallic grey theme is ugly

I'm out of this thread, later.

Uhhh.. its just the Luna silver visual style with a (in my own opinion) crappy screensaver and wallpaper.

If you want something thats silver & stylish and still resembles Luna check out KoL's Silver Gris or as I like to call it Luna done right : )

There's a WB theme called Christmas time that's not too bad - if you like that sort of thing. The start menu is animated with snow, candy cane scrollbars, etc.....
