What is with that? When I try to install the trunk builds, that is what I get.

The trunk was split into the branch at v0.6, and v0.7-v1.0 were all based off the branch rather than the trunk for a more stable code base. Since v1.0 was just released, the branch and trunk have not merged, so the trunk is still given the old version number from when it split--v0.6+, meaning post v0.6.

They STILL haven't merged yet? Heck, Firefox trunk is finally starting to stabilize out, and things are improving there. I would think Thunderbird merge would have happened already, but hadn't checked into it yet. This needs to happen soon, so things can move forward. What is fixed on Thunderbird trunk that is missing on "Aviary branch"? I know there was a speedup with Firefox on the trunk. Thanks.

STILL? Do not forget Firefox 1.0 was released a month before Thunderbird 1.0

I really wouldn't expect much, if anything, until after the holidays. Mscott and team are taking a well deserved break. This was mentioned in a thread somewhere.

I don't plan on doing any merging until after the holidays. Feel free to be grouchy but we're taking a break until New Year's!

There is a post over @mozillaZine which states that Scott MacGregor and his team of developers are taking a break after the release of Thunderbird 1.0. Thus, do not be alarmed if the trunk builds have the version number 0.6.0+. Branch builds branched off at 0.7 - 1.0, so until (hopefully) the New Year, when the Thunderbird developers return from their well-deserved break, the branch and trunk will be merged. That said, some of the more recent features in the branch, such as UI improvements, may not be in these few days' trunk builds yet.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Thanks for at least telling us and not being like some and just fluffing it over. Enjoy! God Jul!
