The Official Thunderbird ... builds are out" - RSS feed

IRC channel: #Thunderbird

The Official 2005-02-05 Trunk builds are OUT
Win EXE Installer, Win MSI Installer, Win Zip, Linux and Mac.

Red is not yet out at the editing time of this thread.
Green is out at the editing time of this thread.

Regarding Branch/Trunk merging - on 20050107 Mscott wrote:
I hope to spend the next couple weeks making the trunk "catch up" with the 1.0 release changes. Once that happens I'll bump the version string on the trunk from 0.6 to something more appropriate. As long as you see the 0.6 version string you can safely assume the trunk is still inferior.

These are changes between 2005-02-04 and now
Both fixes for Core and Thunderbird are included

If you find problems/bugs:
  1. Post them in this thread
  2. Properly describe the problem
  3. Include the url where you have the problem (if this is the case)
  4. Include the "about mozilla thunderbird" information (under the help button)
  5. Installer build or .zip version?
  6. Does a new profile fix the problem?
  7. Include the list of extensions you have installed (preferably none to start with)
This makes it a lot easier for others to duplicate your problem.

Fixes and patches:

  1. #166111[Core] Unable to write the email to the mailbox [Win] [Additional patch]
  2. #232107[Core] Enable movemail on Mac [Mac]
  3. #278560[Thunderbird] RDF/XML invalid with "urn:forumzilla" namespace [Mac]

Not marked as fixed:

  1. #280382[Thunderbird] "Compact folders" does not work on inbox causing inbox to grow out of control [Win] [potential fix]

Regressions/confirmed/annoying bugs:

  1. #121946Need to escape "From " line in the msg body when saving or copying msgs. [All]
  2. #121947Need to unescape "From " lines in the msg body before displaying them to the UI. [All]
  3. #158679Shortcut keys do not work if caps lock on
  4. #194382sequence "bla-bla.\nFrom" in plaintext attachments becomes "bla-bla.\n>From" [All]
  5. #222774Cannot import address groups (lists) from Outlook Express [All]
  6. #228649Unable to download mail from pop3 server caused by junk email [Win]

  12. #247154Inline vCard Editing UI Lacks Home Address Editing [Win]
  13. #252643--enable-extensions=cookie causes XML errors in thunderbird UI [Lin]
  14. #253268cannot mark mail as unread after opening from search window [Win]

yeah

can u see ur own sig? it says:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.6) Gecko/20040206 Firefox/0.8

u should probably upgrade to 1.0. 0.8 is a little old.

Very usable builds. Some 'copy/paste' enhancements not there yet. I d/l at least every other build.

Yep, that was what it was. Didn't even realize they were turned off. Had to change mine to show what I was using. Sorry about that.

ok the only reason why I've switched back to 1.0 built from 2005.02.04 is because contact sidebar that only works on 1.0 :/

Except for those few days about a week ago that they were unusable (linux), I've been running the trunk with no problems... I don't know what the Windows version is like, but I assume it's about the same...

yes

has anyone gotten about:config and minimize to tray to work on the trunk? i changed the xpi file to work with 0.6, but about:config had all its entries empty and minimize to tray said i had a dll missing even though i have it and it worked on the branch builds.
