Is there a convenient way to install an extension (xpi) form the command line as part of my build process?

Thanks.

Mass Installer might do what you want.

The above command line switches install extensions/themes globally for all users i.e. in the firefox installation dir - C:\program files\mozilla firefox\extensions etc.

Till now there is no way to install extensions/themes from command line for a specific profile.

Mass installer's command line option starts Firefox to complete the installation process, so it is not the answer for this problem.

Mozilla should include this feature to install addons to specific profiles from command line/silently.

How about just unzip the .xpi into the extensions dir in the profile? :p

Should work in the happy post-1.5 world
