Your install.rdf should be something like this:
Code: Select all
<?xml version="1.0"?>

<RDF xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/02/22-rdf-syntax-ns#"
     xmlns:em="http://www.mozilla.org/2004/em-rdf#">

    <em:id>{ca6f6af0-99ff-11d9-9669-0800200c9a66}</em:id>
    <em:version>1.0</em:version>

    <!-- Target Application this extension can install into,
         with minimum and maximum supported versions. -->
    <em:targetApplication>
      <Description>
        <em:id>{ec8030f7-c20a-464f-9b0e-13a3a9e97384}</em:id>
        <em:minVersion>0.8</em:minVersion>
        <em:maxVersion>1.5</em:maxVersion>
      </Description>
    </em:targetApplication>

    <!-- Front End MetaData -->
    <em:name>Outlook 2003 Blue</em:name>
    <em:description>Outlook 2003 Theme</em:description>

No i meant this GUID
Code: Select all
{ec8030f7-c20a-464f-9b0e-13a3a9e97384}
in the targetApplication part. It's the GUID of firefox, so to make the theme installable on firefox, it is compulsory to have that in.

Regarding the
Code: Select all
{ca6f6af0-99ff-11d9-9669-0800200c9a66}
, it's the GUID of the theme, so you must have it. You can easily find a GUID generator by searching for it on google.

Looks nice so far. I'm a bit confused... this is an Outlook 2003-style theme for Thunderbird? Or a general Microsoft Office 2003-style theme for Firefox? Or, are you making both? In any case, definitely great work--I wish I knew enough to help you.

Are you making the toolbar background color dependent on the Windows system colors or are you hardcoding it blue?

thx, i planed to make it for both ff and tb. but i started with ff. at the moment it is hardcoded in blue. maybe it is possible to use the system colors and some alpha blended png's to have that look, maybe. it is something if a "professionell" themer could help me a bit with his knowledge ;)

now, the installation should work and is uploaded. use the download link above to get the latest version.
thx to b3virq3b and Pikachu90000! ;)

i had uploaded a new version from the theme. you can find the download link in the first post.

- bookmarklist should work now
- toolbar and button height is correct
- checks and radios are now correct and should look much more than the real outlook
- back and forward buttons are a little bit better now, need some more tweaks

so you see, work not finished yet ;) many has to be done, but maybe i start converting it to thunderbird soon.

it was simplier as i thought, so a simple port from the ff to a tb theme is now available to download. the download link is in the first post.
the tb theme needs many tweaks, so it can be used but isn't realy finished ;) it is better to use small icons and no text till i changed the text version to be right aligned.

It seems very nice, if only you could change the icons to match the Outlook 2003 ones for TB, this would be really great

i uploaded a new version for tb. this version contains the outlook icons and the main windows is a bit themed :) looks good, but i don't know how to change the background from accountpanel at the top left corner. the accountmanager has changed too. the composer and address windows, will follow soon.

Very nice TB theme, congratulations. Now, yes, if you could make that the search items background matched the rest, it would be one of the nicest TB theme I have seen. Oh, and you might want to replace the Noia splash screen. :)

thx, i see, there is the preview.png from noia. and i remind that i copied the install.rdf, content.rdf and preview.rdf from noia. my files didn't worked with the tb installation. so i used this files and edit them. i change it and upload a new version. ;)

and noia is a realy great theme :)
