are you sure? it's not in http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/ ... /releases/ yet...there's no http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/ ... ses/1.0.2/
did you see that link somewhere or did you just test having 1.0.2 in the link instead of 1.0.1? if you saw it somewhere, where? I think those might be the RC builds of 1.0.2, I'd think they'd announce 1.0.2 final somewhere before just releasing it to download in the link you gave

the files are signed.
nightlies and aviaray are not signed. so this oughta be final. also, some hours back the links didnt produce any download/code so the moz foundation actually did update their servers and mirrors to provide you with those links and the actual files the scripts and mirrors deliver.
happy downin'

I just got 1.0.2 from the link abittner provided, there appears to be nothing in it indicating that it is an RC except for the fact that it's Gecko date is 20050317, this is the same day the 1.0.2 RC builds were released indicating that either this is the 1.0.2 RC or they didn't find any bugs in 1.0.2 RC that they decided to fix for the final 1.0.2
*goes to update signature to say Fx 1.0.2 instead of Fx 1.0.1 and use FireFTP to upload new Firefox info*

http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/ ... ses/1.0.2/ exists, it's final. What?!?!?! still nothing on the MZ (MozillaZine) homepage yet??? (just joking, of course, about it not having it yet)

Alas, no win32 .zip is found there, only a .exe in en-US
Will Firefox follow Thunderbird to drop zip-builds?

I certainly hope not.
However, I just checked ftp again and now even the .exe is gone from the 1.0.2 subdirectory ?-(
Moral of the story: things are in flux, or something to do with the ftp mirrors not being all uptodate.

The automatic updater currently only downloads the installer of the newer version. This is something that has been known for a long time and the decsion was made to ship 1.0 with this still in place. However, a full updater is planned for a future version (2.0, I believe).Ger Teunis wrote:Is it just my computer or does the firefox updater just download the installer of 1.0.2?
Shouldn't it patch firefox automatically?
