I applied the patch to Bug #203756 and rebuilt my 2003-09-26 non-XFT build. It now has the inline autocomplete feature. Add the following option to your user.js to enable it:
Code: Select all
user_pref("browser.urlbar.autoFill", true);
Kubuntu 8.04 (kernel 2.6.24-25-generic) / KDE 3.5.10
CentOS 4.8 (kernel 2.6.9-78.0.22.ELsmp) / KDE 3.5.10
Mac OS X 10.6.1 (Snow Leopard) / iPhone 3GS (32GB black)

If you haven't done so already, add your e-mail address to the following bug entry:

Way ahead of you :-p.

Not to be ungrateful or anything but you'd think a bug like this would be a pretty high priority. Millions of Linux users are having to go without their java web games if they are using bleeding edge versions of Firebird!!!

I totally agree with you on the impact of this bug. It's definitely something that must be fixed before 0.8, if not right away. It's pure miscommunication if I ever sounded like I thought lightly of the issue. :)
