Is there a (unofficial) 1.0.5 zip build available?

Thunderbird release 1.0.5 has product version 1.7.9: 2005071118
The corresponding nightly is probably
ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/t ... -win32.zip

I'm not sure, cause I got a message from Asa telling me, that those weren't the builds.

He just announced the 2005-07-11-XX-aviary1.0.1 builds a couple of hours before that.

Is V1.0.5 compatible with previous 1.0+ nightly builds profiles ?
I ask this because have some problem to correctly open attachments (.doc).

And was is the difference between these two versions ?

http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/ ... 01.0.5.exe

http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/ ... taller.exe

And to make it simple, what is the difference between 1.1Alpha2 and 1.0.5 just promotted at the same time ?

Thanks.

Just downloaded 1.0.5. The Thunderbird application bundle is named "thunderbird" (lowercase), not "Thunderbird" (uppercase). Should probably fix this.

1.0.5 is branch, not trunk. It's just 1.0 with a couple of security bugs fixed, like 1.0.2. It's NOT 1.1.

Thunderbird and Firefox wanna go hand in hand into the new world, so their versioning system will be in sync - if possible.

What are those security issues? Looking at http://www.mozilla.org/projects/securit ... ities.html, I don't see any issues listed for thunderbird, but just firefox. So what's up? Are those issues still confidential/undisclosed? Or is it that some issues listed for firefox 1.0.5 affect thunderbird too? What issues?

Thunderbirds HTML-engine is Firefox, so bugs in Firefox may affect Thunderbird too - not always though.

yeah, I was wondering about this ... I expected to find it at
ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/t ... iary1.0.1/
but there's no .zip there

so is the ...19... version the one which became the 1.0.5 release?
