I did. Now i can't get to the winupdate page at all, no matter what i type in the url bar.
Do we have to uninstall it and then install another version every time? It's real pain: every time i reinstall it, it looses bookmark to updates (clicking on the bookmark does nothing). I have to somehow get to the site, re-enable "Bookmark this page" line again (i use Menu Edit and disable this menu line under Tools), bookmark the site. I also have to move IEview lines in menus where I want them to be. I did this a dozen of times in the last 2-3 days! - don't forget all the restarts too!
Anyway, with b_121 i can't get the winupdate site - blank page and "IE Tab" in the tab label or a page stating i need ie5 or better.

Edit: somehow i finally got there ... but "Always View..." under Tools is still inconsistent and half of the times is disabled.
I really like it and would very much like to see it working but i'm running out of time for this extension :-(

The b_121 is the one i have right now (uninstalled 196, installed 704, uninstalled, installed 121 ....) and the ID is in my sig. DP had too many problems for me to deal with at this time so i'm back to 1.0.6. Always View shows most of the time but not always. It almost seems as if it needs time to ... warm up? and then it's working.
Now i have another problem back - clicking the bookmark to winupdate is dead - nothing happens! Typing an URL (to updates) does nothing ....
(The bookmarked link is:
chrome://ieview/content/reloaded.html?url=http://update.microsoft.com/microsoftupdate/v6/default.aspx?ln=en )

I'm using http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/ as the bookmark location for Windows Update. Have the same address in 'Always-in-IE sites'. Takes me to the update page no problem.

Yes, Swami, i typed that url in several times. It takes me to an error page ("Thank you for your interest in obtaining updates from our site. To use this site, you must be running Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 or later. To upgrade to the latest version of the browser, go to the Internet Explorer Downloads website"). When i eventually, through clicking on links, get to the update site, the url bar changes to chrome://ieview...... i have posted above. And this is what i have to bookmark. I wonder if there's something stuck in about:config. Any ideas what i should be looking there for? Thanks for your time, btw!

EDIT: all right, here's what i did: pasted Swami's link into url bar, pasted into the bookmark's path, pasted into Always-in-IE list, pasted into the about:config string. It works now BUT! it opens in current tab instead of a new one as i have it set with TMP and had it working before (when i couldn't get to the site actually), i use single window mode. So, now i have to remember to open a new tab just for ieTab!

There is not a button. You also have to install the modified version of IEView. Look further up this page for different links. To access it, right click on a page as you would with IEView and select View this page in IE.

Sorry if i missed an answer to my Q in those 9 pages but IETab opens in current tab instead of a new tab. I have TMPlus, if it matters, and everything is set to open in a new tab. Anyone knows a solution? TIA.

Sorry, but I just got confused, what do I need to install or uninstall in order to make this work? I already have IEView installed.

There seems to be some issues with IE Tab and flash sites. Check out http://www.overit.com

The navigation doesn't seem to work correctly in IE Tab, but works fine in Firefox and standalone IE. Note: the navigation relies on an iframe if this helps anybody to debug.

I can confirm this problem. I tested this with the IE tab and a normal Firefox tab (does not need to be overit.com). I click the About link, and it loads. Then I click the Work link, and nothing happens. I switch to another tab and back, click it again and it loads. I can reproduce this everytime.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Click any link in the Flash.
2. Click another link (or the same one, doesn't matter). It will not load.
3. Switch to another tab and back, and click the same link (or any other link) and it will load.

It seems, that it will stop loading the links after clicking on one, and the tab needs to be redrawn (switch and back).
