Search before posting
Everybody has problems, and there is a good chance that you may not be the first person to experience the one you are having. Using the forum search tool, you may be able to find posts about the problem you are experiencing. We also have a selection of FAQs covering common issues. Check the sticky topics in this forum for more details.
Tell us which version of Mozilla Firefox and <abbr title="Operating System">OS</abbr> you are using
Software changes over time, and Mozilla Firefox is no exception. It can also behave differently, depending on which OS you are using. Telling us which version and OS you are using helps greatly because of this.
To find out which version you are using, look at Help -> About Mozilla Firefox. If you're not using an official release, or are otherwise unsure of what to include, copying the whole version string is helpful. It will look something like this: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.6) Gecko/20040207 Firefox/0.8
Tell us if you have any plugins or extensions installed
If you're having problems with plugins or extensions - or after installing them, let us know what extensions/plugins you have installed. To view what plugins you have installed, type about:plugins in the location bar, and press enter. If you are using Mozilla Firefox, a list of extensions you have installed is available in the Extensions panel of your preferences (Tools -> Options).
Use descriptive titles
A post title of [0.8/WinXP] How can I get Roboform working with Mozilla Firefox? (for example) is much more useful than Help Me! when looking for questions to answer.
Try to keep on-topic
This forum is for support questions. Questions such as "When will Mozilla Firefox 1.0 be released?" are best asked in the relevant forums. Any such threads will be moved to the appropriate forum.
