Am considering upgrading to FF1.0.7 from 1.0.4. I have about ten extensions. Is there a way to know which of these extensions are supported, or not supported in 1.0.7?

Disable them first in Firefox Safe Mode before upgrading, then enable them one by one after the upgrade and test each time, clicking on 'update' if needs be.

You mean go into windows safe mode / open up firefox and go to the extensions themselves then disable each one?

No, not Windows safe mode. <a href="http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_Mode">Firefox Safe Mode</a>.

Where might I find that option? Nothing in the help-index.

Please see the link given in my previous post. For Windows, it states:
Windows

To launch Firefox in Safe Mode on Windows, you can use the shortcut in the Mozilla Firefox folder on the Start Menu. If you have accidentally deleted this shortcut, you can re-access it by going to "Start -> Run" and running:

"C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" -safe-mode

OKAY......got that. But I don't see a 'disable' option for extensions..only uninstall.

In the Extension Manager window, right-click on an extension. In the context menu that pops up, there should be a disable option. After it's disabled, the extension should be grayed out.

I notice that in Safe Mode the option to disable the extensions is grayed out. Therefore I assume they are all disabled by default in Safe Mode. Is the idea to do the upgrade from Safe Mode then re-enable the extensions?

Yes, all extensions (and themes as well) are disabled while you're in Safe Mode. It's useful for diagnostics.

I think the idea was to disable all the extensions in normal mode. And then, after the upgrade, reenable them one by one in normal mode. If you run into one that crashes or isn't compatible with 1.07, you can go into Safe Mode and uninstall it from there (assuming the crashing or effects in normal mode prevent you from accessing the uninstall option in normal mode). All extensions are disabled in safe mode, so whatever crash attends the incompatibility would not hinder you from uninstalling the problem extension in Safe Mode.
