how is it that thunderbird 1.5rc1 and firefox 1.5rc1 were released at about the same time. however, firefox wen to rc2, rc3, and final while thunderbird is still at rc1? it just looks better when thunderbird and firefox come out with a new version at the same time.

because we don't have QA and build resources that can cope with both at the same time. It's too much work. And now we have software update and l10n builds to worry about for each product.

Too many late nightes just getting firefox 1.5 ready the last few weeks, I can't imagine trying to do thunderbird at the same time

:)

Scott posted this in another thread:
Once we finish up firefox 1.5 we'll sit down and figure out our QA and release resources for when we can get a 1.5 final out for Thunderbird. I'm hopeful it could be before the holidays but then again the holidays aren't that far away!
