For people who are tired of waiting for the RSS threads, or nightly testings posts, to be updated, here's how to end the hassle:

1) Go to Tools/Options/Advanced/General/Config Editor

2) Type it app.update.interval in the filter field and change the value to 30 (seconds)

3) Type in app.update.auto in the filter field and (if it's not) change its value to true

4) Close out and go to the Update tab either:

A) Select the option to nofify you of an update

B) Select the option to automatically download & install any updates

Following these directions will have Thunderbird 1.5 check for any updates every 30 seconds and notify you of any updates or have them installed automatically. Just follow the instructions on the screen when the notification message pops up.

@DeepFreeze3 : Bad idea, this short update intervall will cause a lot of traffic for the servers.... :(

Ya bad idea indeed. btw are you saying I take to long to publish the thread saying the builds are out? I hope not because I post them probably at most 30 minutes after its out, unless it comes out while I'm at lunch. RSS feed I just forgot to update. And also at least there is a thread for everyday's builds now and in timely manner, not the day after (nothing against unghost...he did a great job)

auto-update every 30 seconds? LOL. If thunderbird is built every day, same time - why every 30 seconds?! :D Ok, a build can have a delay, but do the servers a favour and go to help > check for updates... You won't miss anything.
