What about rebuilding to include this important patch?

Hm... Crap. I think I applied the patch for this a week ago or so, but I can't remember which one of the older patches to that bug that I used, so I can't figure out what to back out, or if I even applied it. The listed URL testcase loads fine for me on the current build and doesn't look like the bug screenshot. Bah. I'll dive into my tree and check.

This patch is now on the trunk, so I only have to wait for the next build now. :)
The bug happens on many sites, especially if nglayout.initialpaint.delay is set to a small value.

Also, check bug 52916 again, the patch there doesn't solve all the problems.

Yeah, ends up I didn't have it. I'll rebuild both builds right now.

Which patch are you talking about? 52916 or the incremental rendering one?

Incremental rendering.

I'll look into 52916 as well. I did have the patch for that though, lol. I either totally didn't see your comment on that or I was posting after you posted but before you edited the comment about 52916 in--that is, if you didn't have it there the first time.

Screenshot of the bug

The patch doesn't still fix the bug on this page:

HTML:

Code: Select all
<div class="highlight">

  </div>

CSS:

Code: Select all
.highlight {
   display: block;
   border-top: double 3px #ccc;
   border-bottom: double 3px #ccc;
   padding: 8px;
   margin: 20px 40px;
}
.highlight img {
   float: right;
   margin: 0 20px 0 20px;
}
.highlight dl {
   padding: 1em;
}
.highlight dd {
   white-space: nowrap;
}

I dunno... The DD element is set to "nowrap" so it shouldn't wrap the text. Isn't it?

Already posted to Bugzilla, but I have a bit more to add.

Didn't bother to make my own testcase without the "nowrap" yet (about to leave the house for a short while), but if you continue to shrink the browser window smaller, the text of the DL/DT/DDs do wrap as a group and go below the image instead of continuing to overlap it.

11/25 MNG,DOMi is up. I believe the SVG,MNG,DOMi,Venkman failed overnight.

Nova what's up? Your builds seem to have disappeared. I bet your school bitched about the bandwidth usage, yeah?

Keep us updated :)

I dunno.

I'm at my workstation in my networking class and downloaded the latest 11/26 of mine just now. Maybe it's an ISP problem or something...?
----------
11/26 MNG,DOMi up. SVG build isn't working again I think, I'll have to look at the buildscript.

Sorry Nova, I'd very much like to test your more recent builds,
but due to police action in my city (link in Polish: http://www1.gazeta.pl/gorzow/1,35211,1792766.html ),
it's confirmed by a friend of mine working in a town hall.
Moving to Linux permanently. (crypto-loop rocks :) )

i have been using the generic nightlies for a while now but have decided to have a go on the optimised and after lots of reading have decided that my p233 /WinMe will be best served by the Nova builds. (most others seem to be optimised for p4s & Athlons - which are way beyond my budget )

but - what the difference in between
MozillaFirebird-MNG-DOMi
MozillaFirebird-SVG-MNG-DOMi-Venkman

or indeed
* Firebird 0.7 Release w/MNG G6 Dynamic(11/06)
* 11/24 Trunk w/SVG,MNG,DOMi,Venkman G6 Static
* 11/26 Trunk w/MNG,DOMi G6 Dynamic

and what which would recommend i go for -:)
