Block "Intellitxt" green links in some forums?
I like the new Camino browser and Ad blocking is effective, but how can I get rid of the dreadful intellitext "green links" that plague some discussion forums? With the Firefox browser, the "Ad Block" extension allows me to enter the URL to block them, is there some way to block specific URLs with Camino?

Note that a few sites that use intellitxt use some custom domains, like intellitxt.sitename.tld, so cflwason's rules won't block *every* intellitxt one, but will block 99%

Thanks guys, but that hasn't made any difference. I added:
host image 2 intellitxt.com
host cookie 2 intellitxt.com
host script 2 intellitxt.com
host object 2 intellitxt.com
host image 2 uk.intellitxt.com
host cookie 2 uk.intellitxt.com
host script 2 uk.intellitxt.com
host object 2 uk.intellitxt.com
host 2 uk.intellitxt.com
but the damned green links are still there even after closing and re-opening Camino

it won't work if you're entering "uk.intellitxt.com" if the server is for example "bla.uk.intellitxt.com"
you have to enter the complete servername.

the hostperm.1 for Camino is located inmgmcc wrote:The server is "uk.intellitxt.com" but where should this Hostperm.1 file be for the Camino browser? At the moment I only have the one relating to Firefox in:
Mike/Library/Application Support/Firefox/Profiles/w5118m7x.default/hostperm.1
<b>~/Library/Application Support/Camino</b> where ~ is your home folder.
if the file doesn't exist then create it with text edit (as plain text file!).
now enter the strings the others told you.
save the file and open Camino.

While playing about, I had actually placed the hostperm.1 file in that path and it didn't make any difference.

Noted and changed

Hadn't been doing that. I now seem to have got rid of the blighters! Thanks for the help.
