It will take a little extra time to get the Win32 machine running with VC8, in the mean time feel free to keep on testing the last build.
Feedback needed for cairo builds.
Cairo specific bugs should be under:
- Product : Core
- Component: GFX: Thebes
- Status Whiteboard : cairo
- cc: vladimir(at)pobox.com and pavlov(at)pavlov.net
currently known issues: printing, fonts, general performance and (and no builds for Mac)
Talkback will be enabled in cairo builds asap
Try to compare daily normal builds with cairo builds to determine if it's a general regression/bug or cairo specific

Ahm, is the missing RSS icon for live bookmarks somewhere listed? I can not find it.

No, on the bookmark toolbar. I have two of them "News" and "Google Mail".

BTW:
This one appears under subscriptions in places:

Isn't that:
#326712[Core]-Templates Bookmarks Issues [Win]
Like some of my livemarks look like regular bookmark icons but are orange instead of blue. And one of my folders shows up as a regular bookmark icon. This is on the bookmarks toolbar.

I think it starts happening after you make a change to your bookmarks like I added a bookmark earlier.

I did not change anything and there are no icons at all. See "Aktuelle Nachrichten ..." and "Googl...". These are live bookmarks.

@trolly, that's a places build, isn't it? Places has been removed from today's builds and will be gone for a week or few.

Yes, was a places build. I have just installed 021705 and the places icon is gone. And the live bookmark icon is back. Seems to be a places bug, and i'm one day too late.

Oh okay. I see there is a places bug for that but it's not confirmed yet:
#327543[Firefox]-Livemark icon not displayed in places toolbar [BeO]
It's also filed for BeOS so I guess we can confirm it should be ALL/ALL. I did see this too the short time I was using the half baked places interface.

It's the old issue of trying to get it done quickly vs doing it right. I'd rather they push the alpha some more and finish places some more. To me it's not even alpha quality because of things it breaks like middle clicking on bookmarks. Cairo is more alpha worthy than Places IMHO. Cairo has bugs but doesn't break anything too bad. But that's open to interpretation.

i agree, cairo seems to be much more ready than places is at this point in time. the performance difference between cairo and non-cairo is much less significant than places and non-places builds, at least on my computer. the bugs in cairo dont make it unusable, but if you ask me the many bugs in places make using the browser's basic functionality (especially bookmarks) almost impossible. while its true places hasnt been through the testing cairo has, i dont think places is even ready for large scale testing yet.

Places large scale fixing is a bigger worry than large scale testing ;-)

Well, I don't agree. On my computer (Duron 800MHz) Cairo builds are significantly slower than non-Cairo builds.
Scrolling is slower, selecting is slower, everything is slower. And it also seems to take more memory.
