Btw peter, besides worrying about the extension thingy :P, the installer bug had been fixed and can be taken off the red list.

A few things:

- I downloaded the Gaius hourly about five minutes ago. Despite the "blank bookmarks toolbar" bug being marked fixed, nothing is showing up. Still, there has been an improvement--before I updated, the AdBlock+ and Sage buttons I had on it were on the left side; now they're on the right as they should be.

Oddly enough, they suddenly decided to become visible as I was writing this post out. No idea what's going on.

- What's the point of putting the sidebar menu back in for Sage if Sage doesn't work anymore thanks to Places?

- Not sure if it's a known bug or not, but try deleting a Bookmarks folder in Places. Nothing will appear to happen; click the arrow next to the folder your deleted one is nested in and it'll throw an error. Open the enclosing folder and the deleted folder is gone.

- Quick search keywords don't work, which is utterly infuriating since I'm so used to doing "google _" or "wiki _". Will these ever be re-implemented?

- Compact Menu seems to no longer work; unticking the appropriate boxes in the customise window merely disables the menus, which is utterly useless.

Would someone confirm?
"clear private data when closing Deer Park" and "ask me before cleaning private data" are checked, but dialog does not appear when closing Firefox.

work with 03-03 Nightly non-cairo.

@Mist Fox, yes, it is on Gaius, and the nightly that Peter is linking to is now from Gaius. Pacifica is non-cairo. The check is about:buildconfig, you'll see the word cairo if it's a gaius build.

@pal-moz, can't confirm, it WFM with a new profile.

I'm lurking.. I'm working on the cairo stuff so I wouldn't be of much help with places related bugs. With the installer stuff fixed, seems like people have stopped finding too many new bugs with our stuff! I'm hard at work trying to get bitmap fonts working. Let me know if there are any other super ugly bugs that I'm overlooking. I'm probably going to move back to cairo printing on Linux next week after I get bitmap fonts working on Windows so that we can make the final push of getting cairo flipped on on Linux.

So I decided to mess arounf with drag and drop in Places and it certainly does weird things. I tried to drag a bookmark down one spot and it moved that bookmark down about 3 spots and the bookmark below, which I didn't click on, down 10 spots. Oh well, however, what did confuse me was that when I hit Ctrl+Z to try to undo it, I got the following error message.
Image

After I clicked Ok, Firefox moved the bookmark that I had selected back to its original spot, but left the other bookmark in the wrong place.

Although there are a lot of keyboard issues with Places, I think it might be related to: <A HREF="https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=323812">Bug 323812</A>-Interesting bookmarks copy-paste behavior.

Edit: Is this item in the Error Console of any importance?

@pavlov, thanks for lurking:) I think fonts and <del>forms</del> dropdowns were the ugliest, and<del> forms</del> dropdowns are fixed. After that, maybe red #25 and #23 are the most visible?

While you're lurking, https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=327184 has a patch by masayuki awaiting superreview by you, would you look? It's not on Peter's list, but it's a css-support bug.

-edit- woops, wrong bug, fixed.
