I've been experiencing a weird problem with Firefox that last couple of weeks. Sometimes, randomly, text in search boxes, text boxes, forms, etc. will start to type in backwards. Has anyone else experiences this problem? Is there a fix for it? Any help would be appreciated.

P.S. - It happened 4 times while typing this post.

The last post is what the moderators ask for when posting a new topic. It's the code in the about firefox window and a list of my installed extentions.

I can't stand Explorer. Way too many bugs, viruses, security risks, etc. I can deal with the backwards typing over going back to IE. I have the flash plug in also.

specmet. I'm just guessing but it could be an issue around the saved form information. I believe this can become corrupted at times, and therefore, go awry as it tries to predictively insert text, based on what it thinks you are about to insert.

You could try Tools.. Options.. Privacy.. Saved Forms.. "Clear Saved Form data now". This may sort out your problem. Unfortunately you will also loose the saved form information (such as your login to this forum). I think there are other methods to sort this issue, but I don't know enough to be able to advise.

Interesting. Please tell us if that works.

Beyond that, looking at the list of extensions, the obvious one that inserts text into forms is Roboform, so I'd have to suspect that too.

I'm not running runescape (don't know what that is). I cleared my saved form data, and as I'm typing this response the typing problem hasn't occured. I tried responding before, but the problem happened 4 times, so I'm assuming the saved form data does have something to do with it. Thank you very much for the help.
