Warning:
Use the export function in todays build to get your bookmarks.html file back.
Places will be disabled soon and you probably won't be able to transform them back with a newer build.

Looks as if we will have a Firefox Community Test Day next Thursday or Friday - stay tuned for more information. [We've] just finished up testing Firefox and Thunderbird 1.5.0.2, Firefox and Thunderbird 1.0.8, and Mozilla Suite 1.7.13. We are now working on Firefox and Thunderbird 1.5.0.3, so the test day will likely focus on testing for that release.

OK quick question to branch testers: What is your method for testing?

No one really talks about it much...

I don't normally go anything special, just go about my normal browsing and I find the odd bug or two on the way. I'm shure there are methods you can do to find more bugs like writing internet pages with "evil" testcases for the HTML rendering engine etc.

Sorry, I know I'm not a lot of help :-)

Cheers,

testing branch and trunk pretty much have the same procedures. i usually just download a build in the morning (or when i wake up), then go to the usual sites i visit and try to confirm other bugs people have found. if a fix for something important to me is checked in ill get another build, otherwise i usually wait till sometime in the evening to get another. probably not as frequent as i should be, but not everyone can devote 24 hours a day to testing.

...And I thought that I was the only one who did that.

Nah, same here.
Although I do check the javascript console quite often for unusual messages
I download about 8 different builds a day, but don't run all of them.
They're mostly used to narrow down any regressions

If I had the time I would have one copy of each version installed and would try to do some proper tests on them but I'm in school most of the day and with homework and such I justt don't get them time I would need... I do what I can though by filling the bugs I find as I go along :-)

@ RyanJ
I have a normal daytime job, so I know all about the limits of what one can do ;-)
After 4 years of testing finding stuf becomes a bit easier though.

Of course, if you really want to know what's going on, you can watch the Branch Bonsai link (at top of this thread), or the Tinderbox link to see when a build will be available.

I'm using Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8) Gecko/20060426 BonEcho/2.0a1 ID:2006042604.

Today, when visiting my online banking site, the display was really messed up. Nothing was aligned correctly, and sometimes the browser was "confused" about whether it was finished with a page (the cursor would indicate it was still working but the status bar said "stopped", clicking on any other link would be ignored).

In the Javascript console I see over and over again this error:

Warning: Error in parsing value for property 'width'. Declaration dropped.
Source File: https://online.wamu.com/common/style/screen.css
Line: 164

and

Warning: Error in parsing value for property 'width'. Declaration dropped.
Source File: https://onlinebanking.personal.wamu.com ... screen.css
Line: 142

I haven't seen this before, have never had a display issue on that site, which I visit daily. Their website hasn't changed.

Anyone else?
