Firefox port

Post by Keytotime »

If you go to the Url http://www.aqua-soft.org/board/index.ph ... 11086&st=0
the first post has a very great port of the pinstripe theme.
http://www.aqua-soft.org/board/index.ph ... opic=12322
instructions

Use the first link to download the classic.jar. Its the one in the Ash post. It's the latest one. It's really really good. \:D/ [-o< The port on the Aquasoft board has been contributed by so many people that it is amazing. Even the little extra's like the pop up icon, security etc on the botton is in the theme.

Not to badmouth the Aquasoft people, but is there any chance you could stop linking to a forum which continually blocks people from registering and just host the damn thing yourselves?

The reason that you may have problems registering is that so many people are trying to register that they can't handle so many request or there server goes down.

I'm sorry, does this somehow solve the issue?

I'm making the Pinstripe port that I've been working on available for download <a href="http://www.geocities.com/jyn989/">here</a>. I haven't had time to finish it, but it's complete enough that I use it as my default theme.

If you have any comments on the theme, please post them here. I appreciate all feedback.

I quickly made the scrollbars and some other elements yellow/orange. This is listed on my geocities page as the "yellow variant." Check it out!!

Update: I had some time to tweak the theme. I've listed the changes on the geocities site.

Also, macLarge, if you would, could you please add the new Mail button to your toolbar. It is a new feature in the latest nightly build. Thank You!

macLarge,
Great theme! I wanted to try and tweak a couple of things (I am trying to teach myself how to theme) and I can't find a global/browser.css file. Is that located somewhere else? How do I change tab features? Thanks.

Kudos, macLarge....it looks outstanding. I'm using it now, and just love it. =)

I just want to point out one thing, and see if you can shed any light on it...seems the forward and back buttons are a little off-kilter (or, they're in the right spot, and the others arent):

<img src="http://www.fbz0r.com/files/buttons.jpg">

It's no big deal, just a minor annoyance, but I just wanted to point it out, see if you have any suggestions. I'm running a mmoy build (Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7a) Gecko/20040220 Firefox/0.8.0+ (mmoy)) on XP Pro.

Again, nice job!!

Thanks for pointing this out. I've made a fix to this and should post the updated theme sometime soon.

To dansx6: browser.css should be located in the global folder.

And finally: I'll try to add the new email button once I can get the proper icon from the official Pinstripe theme. And I'm looking into adding the download manager extension to the theme as I write this...

<b>Edit:</b> The yellow theme has been updated with a download manager. I can't find a pinstripe email icon, and additionally, I've had trouble finding the email button in recent builds. Is this a toolbar icon?
