from last thread
My Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.0.4) Gecko/20060527 Firefox/1.5.0.4 ID:2006052705
just crashed as I got new mail... I think it was a spammail which caused that crash.
TB19194422H

Anti-virus option in thunderbird is turned off...

any idea what could have caused that crash?

I just want to update to today's nightly build but it says that files are open and update can't be installed.
Thunderbird, firefox and all other applications are closed while updating... so I don't know why it has trouble

in update.log, I found that line:

"copy_file: failed to open: MapiProxy.dll,13"

Problem still existing, don't know what I'm doing wrong, if I do so. I tested several configuration, nothing helped.
Junk mails are marked as Junk, but they stay in inbox though they should be moved to the trash bin automatically, it's quite annoying to delete all the junk manually. Would be really great if someone could help me.

On Linux at home, I have my TB directory chmod'ed so that I can search for updates as a normal user. Lately it never finds anything though. Progress Bar appears and just swirls and swirls, but no update is ever found. Anyone know if its a bug, or a problem with my machine?

Today, my TB tries to download a mail containing a PDF, and I got a crash : TB19297107Q

I went back to 05/18 trunk, and same crashes. Each time I start TB, it downloads the same mail, so, same crash.

ChefChaudart, this looks like a dupe of the same crash you reported earlier to me. I think I linked the bug I filed on your behalf in one of these posts from last week.

Cheers.

Happens. Try starting TB, then Help, Update, which may well show that there is a pending update; if so, click thereupon. I've even seen the apparently-failed update install itself by just starting Firefox or Thunderbird.

I tried it 10 times and then it worked... very time-consuming and annoying :(

I've been trying to upgrade to Thunderbird 2.0a1 from Thunderbird 1.5.0.4 and everytime it crashes when I get a new message,
with Talk Back. Must I start over with a new profile for 2.0a1?

Also - Is there any reason why there has been no updates to 1.5.0.4 since May 16th for the Mac Release, which I am using...

I really would like to make the switch to 2.0a1 although....but it keeps crashing.

Help!

If I only start thunderbird and do nothing else, I see these two entries in error-console:

Blocklist::_loadBlocklistFromFile: XML File does not exist

Error: parent.document.getElementById("msgcomposeWindow") has no properties
Source File: chrome://messenger/content/addressbook/abContactsPanel.js
Line: 165
