2003-12-23 Builds Now Available (Last Builds until 2004)

Post by mscott »

I wanted to drop off one last build before I took off for vacation:

http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/ ... -23-trunk/

One of the new things is a patch to convert absolute paths for mail prefs to relative paths (-rel versions of each of these prefs). This in theory should get us a little bit closer to letting you copy profile directories around (i.e. maybe even letting you just copy a mozilla profile from 1.7a that has the same patch, and copying that over a thunderbird profile in order to do easy migration).

Enjoy the build, see you all in 2004.

-Scott

P.S. I will not be making builds, nor responding much to forum posts during the holiday. If you are building on your own and someone checks in a change that breaks/regresses Thunderbird, I can't help you until I get back.

Thanks mscott. This build seems to be working fine. I'm not seeing the extra prefs.bak files now. Good deal! :)

Have a Merry Christmas and enjoy the Holidays!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, have a good holiday, Scott. You've definitely deserved it. It's amazing how much you've done since when, spring?

On this one, all my filters that pointed to folders that I created, broke, untill I went through and repointed them to the proper folder. No biggie, and quickly fixed.

The spelling checker doesn't seem to like upper case anymore.
For instance, it wants to correct “Hello” into “cello”.

Heh, yeah... it doesn't seem to get along with "HELLO," either. =)
Quite an annoying bug, but it sounds like maybe an easy one to fix.
