cant scroll with laptop touchpad

User Help for Mozilla Firefox

Post Posted September 17th, 2006, 10:51 pm

I just installed firefox and I will be going back to IE if I cant find a solution to this. I have a gateway laptop and the mouse is one of those rectanglar touchpads. To scroll up and down on a page, there is a part of the touch pad where you just move your finger up or down, and it acts like the scroll wheel on a regular mouse. It works with IE but not firefox. I looked in settings and cant find anything. Can someone help me out with this?

Wow. What a quick reply. And it worked, too. Thanks a lot.

I have to tell you folks. I bought this gateway yesterday and ran into this problem. One stop here and boom! touch scroll now works in Firefox.

Thanks bunches. (and people asked me why I donate to you folks...heh)

hey! someone took my screen name? lol

thanks again,

I have the same problem but it is not just for Firefox. It doesn't work in any window. Any ideas?
