Nice to see a "nightly" build thread going again!!
Would you mind using xxxx-xx-xx date format though, the US date format is very confusing;) I also would like to see the checkins (which are the most important part) on top, and perhaps grouped by date? Hard demands:) And maybe a link to http://wiki.mozilla.org/Thunderbird:Nig ... ld_Threads in case you don't want to do the threads all by yourself?

Seems that Thunderbird version 2 beta 1 (20061129) is crashing on me everytime it receives a new email. This is on Linux.

That's why bug 332160 was backed out... Try todays build instead.

Yep, that fixed the problem, mkmelin.

Judging from an LDIF address book export from the new 2.0 nightly, there's no "mozillaAllowRemoteContent" (or whatever) LDIF attribute that maps to this new per-user remote content trust boolean. Does anyone know if this is planned?

Does anyone else encounter a large border at the bottom of the TB main window and all message windows when opening them? Every pre2.0 beta 1 nightly I have tried in he past 3 weeks including the Nov-29-2006 build has had this large ugly border at the bottom of the TB windows similar to the diagram below:
+--------------------------------------+ l l l l l l l l l l l l l l l l----------------------------------------l l l <----- large unsightly border +--------------------------------------+

I think that the Blockers could just go away, except in the case that the status changes. Agree that the checkins should be on top, and a time tag included also. I'll also add the wiki link, but will continue this thread for a while til someone else volunteers. JoeS Testing current Thunderbird trunk builds WinXP SP2+

This usually means there's a missing string somewhere. Do you have any extensions installed? Maybe one of them is broken... Thunderbirds are Go!

Thanks. I found out the culprit was Buttons! 0.5.2. I like the extension but it does not function with the current 2.0 nightlies. Is there a way to make the next button and previous button go to the next message in th list and NOT the next or previous unread message? That is the only reason I actully have used Buttons! since TB1.0

There's a second pair of buttons when you customize the toolbar.

I know of the two pairs of buttons "Previous, Next" and "Back, Forward" which are the default buttons for navigation. Previous and Next go to unread messages.... Back and Forward are the new buttons which act like a browser i.e. back to previously viewed/read messages and forward. However... they only workl for what you have viewed and only navigate the history of messages viewed. I like the ability to have a message window open and click a button to go to the next message or the previous message whether they are new or old messages. I can live with the default behavior of the current buttons in the 2.0 nightlies. Also I emailed the maintainer of the Buttons! extension and he is told e he will look into making it compatible with 2.0.

Hello AmiScorp,
Schrade has made a update of Buttons!, see his posting in the Extension Forum of Aug 25 Perhaps this will solve your problems with Buttons!.

I noticed that the toolbar works differently with version 2 beta 1 (20061203) and the preceding build. Clicking on the menu (such as Tools) usually does nothing. I have to click the menu and then move the cursor one line below it to get the menu to display. I also can't display a menu and then move the cursor horizontally to another menu.
If I run it in safe mode or switch to the Noia 2.0 Extreme theme this problem goes away so I assume it was due to my using the Tiger Mail 2.1.1 theme . Compatibility checking is disabled. However, I didn't have this problem with earlier builds.
