I was once again pondering this problem with the spell checker which I have for a while now and somehow decided to check out the error console. This is what I found:

Failed to load XPCOM component: C:\Programme\Minefield\components\spellchk.dll

There are a lot of similar error reports for other XPCOM components like e.g. several Foxytunes files. Is there an easy way to fix this (like deleting a corrupt file)? If you need more information I'd be happy to help.

Thanks to CrazyFred for pointing me to the <a href="http://tinderbox.mozilla.org/Mozilla-l10n-de/"> l10n tinderbox</a> where all differences between the original en-US version and the localizations can be found.

I extracted the report for the german localization and made all the changes recommended there (hope I did not miss anything).
How can I now check the newest build against my updated language pack (de.jar) to find out what's new or missing?

DAC324, I don't think you can do that easily. The compare-locales.pl script works with source directories rather than xpi's. There is a bunch of other crud in the en-US.xpi that might make it hard to just extract the xpi's and try using the script.

You could talk to the localisers (in general) via <a href="http://groups.google.com/group/mozilla.dev.l10n">their newsgroup</a> or IRC channel (irc.mozilla.org, #l10n). Since you are effectively keeping the localisation up to date, you could also get in touch with the <a href="http://wiki.mozilla.org/L10n:Firefox_Trunk_Status#German_.28de.29">de team</a> and offer them patches.

In order to apply all the changes the script recommended, I hat to extract both JARs (en-US and de) in order to have the source files available. So I am already familiar with the source directories :-)

I just did this in the forum on www.firefox-browser.de but I will try the other possibilities as well. Thank you very much for all these helpful hints!

Yes it has stopped working for me. I only have IE Tab, BugMeNot, and Update Channel Selector (all curent versions).

Is anyone seeing a problem with safe browsing not displaying the "Web Forgery" correctly?

It's a known trunk bug.

It was resolved works for me because bug 130078 fixed the problem. But that bug's patch was backed out due to problems it caused. So that's the bug to watch. It may land again after alpha 1 with the problems it causes being fixed in separate bugs.

I just got a crash. I was downloading 4 or 5 things from Rapidshare and viewing a website. I can't remember any better than that, sorry.

Edit: Here are a few more with the same module causing the problem. I will try safe mode in a minute. I don't remember getting these crashes yesterday, or at least they didn't happen as often.
