Okay recently, whenever I open "My Computer" or "Control Panel" my firefox automatically shuts down. When I try to open Firefox, it gives me this message
"this application has failed to start because js3250.dll was not found. re-installing the application may fix this problem"
I then went on google with IE, and a few suggestions came up
1) Erase all history (failed)
2) Reinstall Mozilla (Failed
3) Delete Mozilla from directory, then download 2.0 (failed)

as you can see, i tried many options but they all juss ended up being failures.

btw. when i reinstall it, it works BUT as soon as i open "My Computer" or "Control Panel", it juss shuts down and repeats the problem.

js3250.dll should be in the C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\ folder.
If you get that error is the file really gone from that folder?

This is usually is a malware that is deleting the js3250 file.
"Go to C:\Windows\System32\ipv6monl.dll and delete it. Reinstall Firefox and it will work fine."

If it was there you should do a full scan to see if there is other remaining malware. I use ewido (now by avg) http://www.ewido.net/

Hi. I'm new here and I just have a question.

In relation to the malware file mentioned above, I found one on my computer that has a similar file name: "ipv6mon.dll". Although mine's missing that extra "l", is it considered to be malware also? Because I know it's possible that it might be different for everyone.

There is a legit file that is ipv6mon.dll . Malware often does this, that is, using a name that is similar to a real one.

I had the exact same problem with that god damned js-file mentioned above. I did as someone suggested and killed that ipv-whatever file and things worked. Then I played a game, exited the game and fired up Firefox again... Only to be met by the exact same problem, and there were double files of those ipv-whatever again...

I run the Zone Alarm Security Suite with spyware-stuff included. It finds nothing. What to do? Start using IE perhaps?

I'm so getting fed up with this bullshit computer world, haha...

You can try a registry search with regedit.exe (Ctrl+F) for "ipv6monl.dll".

Try to delete the file in windows Safe-mode (press F8 at the boot screen).

You can also do a registry scan for the file with regedit.exe (Ctrl+F).
