problem with opening links in TB .5

Post by Mitch Gant »

Whenever I receive an email with a link in it, if I click on it, this pop up comes up:

the file "viewtopic.php" is a type of text/html (HTML Document), and Mozilla Thunderbird does not know how to handle this file type. This file is located at: http://forums.mozillazine.org/

What should Mozilla Thunderbird do with this file?

- open it with the default application (htmlfile)
- open it with ............Choose
- save it to disk

*always perform this action when handling files of this type.

If I chose "open it with the default application" nothing happens.

If I select Firefox, the file seems to download for about 3 seconds and then opens up in Firefox (but without any images/color/CSS).

If I save it to disk...well, I havent tried that for obvious reasons :)

Whats the deal?

Okay - figured it out.

Just in case this happense to anyone else, the solution is:

in explorer go to: tools>folder options>file types>HTML (or whatever the file is)>change>select Firefox

peace out
