Hi, in the last 2 months, sometimes when I hit the send button, Thunderbird crashed straight away. 2 message boxes with memory reference problem came up. It happens usually when Thunderbird has been opened for more than 2 hours.

From 0117 build:
TB28473884W, TB28473870Q, TB28474106K

From 0118 build:
TB28474172Q, TB28474301E

The first error box:

After clicking OK on the first box, then the second error box appears:

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9a2pre) Gecko/20070117 Thunderbird/3.0a1 ID:2007011703
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9a2pre) Gecko/20070118 Thunderbird/3.0a1 ID:2007011803

EDIT: It happens 100% when I replied to a HTML messages. But it sometimes happens if I take more than 5 minutes to compose a new message. New bug?

EDIT again: I was replying to a Yahoo Groups message, after removing this: __,_._,___ from the message, it was sent successfully. weird.

I don't usually keep my trunk copy of Tbird open for more than 2 hours, but I'll give it a try.

The tag menu for an individual message window is not color-coded like the tag menu for the main TB window.

To reproduce, select a message in the main window, and click the Tag button at the top of the window--you'll see the colors applied in the menu. Then open that message in its own window, and click the Tag button again; this time, there are no colors shown for the various tags.

Unable to reproduce this in Winxp Let my trunk build run all night, the replied to an html message
in plain text, html, and both with no problem.
Maybe this could depend on content?

Not sure, it happened when I compose new messages too. It could be my profile causing it. Is there any way to create a new profile yet keeping my old messages and contacts?

Yes, but it can be a pain. But I wouldn't bother since I just crashed using trunk while sending an
html reply to a plain text newsgroup message. No time for a talkback at this time, but I'll see if I can
induce one.

Edit: By the way the message did send OK

In version 2 beta 2 (20070120) and possibly those within the past week or so (Win) the Get Mail and Get Mail | Get All New Messages buttons seem to have been deactivated. Clicking on them do not give a message in the status bar. The Get Mail | Specific account does work. If the automated mail checking in Account Settings | Server Settings is turned off then mail is never collected just by clicking Get Mail.

(It appears the problem I am having seems very much like that supposedly fixed in Bug 355547.) With that said, I am running TB 2b2pre 20070222 on Mac OS X 10.4.8 -- however, I've been experiencing the same problem for the last couple weeks.

Initially, when a message is received nearly all are properly tagged AND colored -- the tag name is always properly applied, however, sometimes the color associated with the tag is not applied.

At some point (one I have not been able to identify) the tag color is no longer associated with the message. Even re-running the filter does not re-apply the color.

Occasionally, after having closed TB and restarted (not to be confused with doing a TB restart from within TB) the tags and colors are again displayed.

Problem is seen with all folders.

Love the tags, but hate the problem.
