The Sunbird trunk tinderboxen and the Lightning branch tinderboxen are now doing nightly builds for the upcoming 0.3.1 maintenance release. This builds are based on 0.3 release and don't include the changes from 0.4a1 or 0.6a1 nightly builds.

Currently the following nightly builds are available from http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/calendar:
  • sunbird/nightly/latest-mozilla1.8/: normal 0.4a1 nightly builds
  • sunbird/nightly/latest-trunk/: 0.3.1 maintenance builds
  • lightning/nightly/latest-mozilla1.8/: 0.3.1 maintenance builds
  • lightning/nightly/latest-trunk/: normal 0.6a1 nightly builds
Attention:
If you used a nightly build of 0.4a1 or 0.6a1 until now some calendar related files in your profile (e.g. the internal database file storage.sdb) have been upgraded to a newer version. This means your current profile will not work correctly with the 0.3.1 builds. This might result in calendars not being displayed, it's not possible to create new calendars and events and switching views might not be possible. In that case you can install a previous nightly build of 0.4a1 or 0.6a1 to fix the issue.

Is there any way to get the add-on nightly picked up by Tb when it checks for updated add-ons?

przemko, version 0.3.1 is a maintenance release for 0.3 addressing the timezone changes that takes place in 2007 in North America. Because the Calendar team has only one build server per platform for Lightning only one version can be build at time. After 0.3.1 has been released the build server will be switched back to produce 0.4a1 nightly builds again. (It's like with Firefox: Version 2.0 is available but there are still maintenance releases for 1.5.)

I got hit by this issue (<a href="http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?p=2728849">thread</a>) and I was wondering whether there was any possibility of adding some note to the build folder saying that for some users this file might actually be a downgrade which will cause problems.

How long until 0.3.1 is released and work on 0.4 continues? 0.4 is the first version of lightning that is actually usable for me and so I'm looking forward to seeing how it progresses.

Congratulations on making version 0.3.1 available!

Any word on which builds are being placed in '.../lightning/nightly/latest-mozilla1.8/'? Hopefully 0.4a1, or builds along that code line, will be available soon!

Thanks,

bvdbos, WeeOh asked about Lightning ;-)
The build servers will probably switched back to 0.4a1 during the next days.

When can we expect the magic to be applied to lightning?
