Incompatible Themes: Why buttons and scrollbars are missing

Post by Hendikins »

Many users have reported missing scrollbars, and missing back/forward buttons with Firefox 0.8. This is usually caused by using incompatible themes with the new release.

Themes for Phoenix and Mozilla Firebird will not work correctly without modification by the theme author.

As a temporary solution, you can use the default Mozilla Firefox theme, until the third party themes are updated.

To use the default theme, open the Mozilla Firefox options dialog, (Select Options from the Tools menu), select "Themes", and select the "Firefox (default)" theme. Click OK to apply the theme.

If you can not use the options dialog, or the problem persists, you can create a new profile.

You can check the themes forum to find themes that are compatible with Mozilla Firefox 0.8.
