bangbang023: Firefox 2/14/2004 O1(optimized for P4 and SSE2)

Post by bangbang023 »

This release was built using GCC. I built it using the following mozconfig:
CC=gcc
CXX=g++
CPP=cpp
AS=as
LD=ld
LDFLAGS=-mwindows
ac_add_options --disable-accessibility
ac_add_options --disable-activex-scripting
ac_add_options --disable-activex
ac_add_options --disable-composer
ac_add_options --disable-debug
ac_add_options --disable-ldap
ac_add_options --disable-mailnews
ac_add_options --disable-tests
ac_add_options --disable-installer
ac_add_options --disable-profilesharing
ac_add_options --enable-crypto
ac_add_options --enable-strip
ac_add_options --enable-strip-libs
ac_add_options --enable-extensions=cookie,xml-rpc,xmlextras,p3p,pref,transformiix,universalchardet,typeaheadfind,webservices
ac_add_options --enable-optimize="-march=pentium4 -mmmx -msse2 -O1 -Os"

export MOZ_PHOENIX=1
mk_add_options MOZ_PHOENIX=1

http://dl.downloadhosting.com/download/ ... irefox.exe (5.82mb, 7z sfx)

This is my first public build. I will not be making any more publics until I get a better webhost as the one I am using for this download only has 1 gig transfer per month.

To answer the most probable question, no I will not be making any other kinds of builds. I may step up to O2 eventually, but for now O1 has proven more stable for me.

Thank you. I have been building for a few days now and finally have the process down to a T so I thought I would help out and get a slightly optimized nightly out. Major thanks to guys like stipe and djeter who helped me understand it all.

Pryan will probably host your builds if you ask him for space. He hosts builds for a lot of builders at http://pryan.org/firefox/ .

If he approves it, let me know so I can edit the index.

Thanks. I guess I'll have to contact him. I can do about 4 or 5 builds on an average week.
