You can change profiles, which will essentially make Firefox act like a different browser for each different user (different bookmarks, different add-ons). But is there any way to load a different profile automatically according to a different desktop shortcut?
The situation is that there is a young child who prefers playing a certain online game via Firefox rather than IE. I have dozens of add-ons I need and use but which interfere with the game, plus I don't want my bookmarks messed up either. Teaching the child about Profiles would be too confusing which could lead to other problems. It would be great if I can set up a different FF desktop icon for the child that would automatically load up FF with their profile, while still automatically loading my profile when I click on the my existing desktop icon.
Is this at all possible?
