*gasp* a new G3-optimized Camino build?

And the other week I realized I can now sync my Twitter updates to my Facebook page.

I feel like I can now finally die a happy man.

I now have two more new builds up, both with a fix for the progress spinner (now with different inactive state) and custom application icons.

Original builds have been renamed with "rc2" in the filename.

Camino 1.5.1 release candidate builds are available, for G3, G4 7400 and G4 7450. All have custom application icons and the fix for the progress spinner (inactive state).

I must have missed it earlier, but thanks for doing a 7400 build. I've been using wrc_fan's optimized builds, but it's nice to have another option.

It's probably a placebo effect, but after a few days of using the universal 1.51rc, I find that the G4 optimized version does feel snappier.

The 1.5.1rc was the first time I built an optimised version for the G4 7400. Maybe that's why you missed it previously.

Any chance of a Core/Core 2 Duo optimized version of 1.5.1?

Sorry, no Intel optimised builds from me as I don't have any machine to test them on (currently).

Camino 1.5.2 builds are available now. I'm now using a different file hosting site so if there's any problems with them please let me know.

Great, quick recovery...

...downloading now, nice speeds.

Thank you for these, btw.

Would you mind sharing a few tips on doing a build?

You know, just hit the major points...I'd like to try one on an idle machine.

the 7400 build on my G4 533 dual processor has quite a few irritating kinks to it that i can't iron out. for starters, everytime the browser starts, it goes to a blank page rather than my designated home page. i've checked the prefs and everything checks out.

secondly, the browser seems to have a very odd glitch to it where it hangs. i'll go to a website, any website, as soon as the browser opens, but it will not load a second one. it's hard to describe... i could provide an error log if it'd help.

And you don't have CaminoSession installed?

no, i checked and rechecked. i did a full uninstall of caminosession a while ago, and it was nowhere to be found. the issue with the browser kept happening, so i tried my luck, ran a few of the maintanence scripts through the MainMenu application, and somehow, it cleared up the issues.
