Crashing on startup or no pages will load with Camino 1.5?

Talk about the native Mac OS X browser.

If Camino 1.5 crashes on startup, you have an old version of 1passwd installed; all versions of 1passwd prior to the current version are incompatible with Camino 1.5. Please upgrade to the latest version of 1passwd (2.4.2 or newer), or completely remove 1passwd, including any pieces installed in /Library/InputManagers, ~/Library/InputManagers, /Library/Application Support/SIMBL/Plugins or ~/Library/Application Support/SIMBL/Plugins.

If Camino 1.5 will not load any pages, you have an old version of CaminoSession installed. CaminoSession is incompatible with Camino 1.5 and Camino 1.5 includes most of CaminoSession's functionality, so you should completely remove CaminoSession, including any pieces installed in /Library/InputManagers or ~/Library/InputManagers.

If Camino 1.5.x stops loading pages and won't open new tabs or windows after you have been browsing for some time, please read this thread and add your details if you have any new information.

Have just installed 1.5 on an iMac Intel. Camino starts up, but fails to load main window. If open new window is selected, then Camino quites (or crashes).

Have 1Password 2.3.10 installed

Anyone suggest a solution?

Thanks

1.5 works fine for me with 1Password v.2.4.2 installed.
G4 iMac, 512 MB RAM, OS X 10.4.11, Camino 1.6.10; 2 Ghz Core 2 Duo MacBook, 2 GB RAM, OS X 10.6.1, Camino 2.0b4

I don't have any SIMBL Plugins installed and I have the same symptoms.
Any ideas ? After I disabled the Disabled the "Check if Default Browser" it Worked but still no Luck.
I renamed my ~/Library/Application Support/Camino. It can't be any bad Plugins.

Just to clarify, the input managers and SIMBL plugins don't live in ~/Library/Application Support/Camino, but rather in /Library/InputManagers, ~/Library/InputManagers, /Library/Application Support/SIMBL/Plugins and ~/Library/Application Support/SIMBL/Plugins.

Have you gone through all the troubleshooting steps in the FAQ?

I'm aware of SIMBL, (and the fact that it's not installed as previously mentioned)
I'll follow the FAQ,
Suggestion : maybe the Thread's Name should change.

There are plenty of input managers that are not implemented as SIMBL plugins. Have you checked that you have no input managers of any kind?

You could sample Camino while it's hanging (see here), and either file a bug at bugzilla.mozilla.org or pastebin it at pastebin.mozilla.org and post a link to that here.

First off, lemme say no probs whatsoever w/Camino 1.5 on my MDD. Been trying, however, to install Camino on our Powerbook G4 12" (first AlBook) with a fresh install of OSX 10.4.10, and get the behavior noted in this thread...get a blank window, and progress bar shows the page is trying to load, and then Camino quits. THis calls up the "do you want to report this to apple" dialog, and when I look at the report, the report says:

Command: Camino
Path: /Applications/Camino.app/Contents/MacOS/Camino
Parent: WindowServer [56]

Version: 1.5 (1.5)

PID: 194
Thread: 0

Exception: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (0x0001
Codes: KERN_PROTECTION_FAILURE (0x0002) at 0x00000020

and then a huge bunch of stuff...pages and pages worth...

Could this be some sort of OS X problem? We just had a fresh hard drive installed, and a clean install of the system, and this is the first problem I've seen with it. There are no "input managers" at all...I don't add stuff onto programs as a rule. This is happening with a fresh-off-the-disk-image copy. I've trashed all camino related folders in Application Support, etc....get rid of everything, reinstall Camino and get the same behavior...Any ideas? Thanks!

Without the rest of the crash log, it's pretty hard to even guess what the problem could be. You can put the whole thing at http://pastebin.mozilla.org/ and post a link to it here.

Hello again. Just pasted the whole crash report into here:

http://pastebin.mozilla.org/179523

Left it on the "one day" default setting.

Please let me know if there's anything in there that might help...thanks again!

Please file a bug for this; figuring out whether this is a Camino bug or an OS issue will require more investigation, and probably a custom build with additional logging.

Thanks for that link. After I get our router set back up and can get both the PowerBook and the MDD online simultaneously, I'll do that...should be in the next few days...right now I can only be online with one machine at a time. I found the other "logs" that y'all referenced earlier, too, and will include them. Thanks...I'm on the verge of doing a complete HD wipe and another clean install of the OS on the PowerBook just to see if that would change this. I'm just glad Camino works like greased lightning on the MDD ;-)
