hi all, its been a while since my last post on tb thread.

can other please confirm this on win platform.

when thunderbird is set as the default email client on windows, it can launch by
clicking the "Email" shortcut on windows start menu (appears on the top left
of the xp styled start menu).

now when i click that "Email" shortcut, two instance of thunderbird always launch.

Just did as you said and can confirm this issue for
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9a6pre) Gecko/20070617 Thunderbird/3.0a1pre ID:2007061703 [cairo]

TB Window is opened twice. (Only one process (thunderbird.exe) is called)

I usually start TB as quicklink, where this behaviour doesn't occur.

Edit:
Filed bug 384904

I cannot send (or save) signed messages with today's build: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.5pre) Gecko/20070619 Thunderbird/2.0.0.5pre ID:2007061903.

After looking at the certificate I found that it is expired today. The only grudge is that the error message should have been "Your certificate is expired" instead of "Failed to send (or save) email message".

Getting a lot of the following error in Newsgroups:
Parsing Error: no element found
Location: jar:file:///C:/tbtrunk101406/thunderbird/chrome/toolkit.jar!/content/global/netError.xhtml
Line Number 1, Column 1:
Don't let the location above fool you it is with:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9a6pre) Gecko/20070618 Thunderbird/3.0a1pre ID:2007061803

EDIT:
Same thing with today's build.
This happens from time to time for me with secure servers. Namely ecnews.netscape.com
The server requires security.ssl3.rsa_rc4_40_md5 to be enabled with config editor.
After yesterday's update, that pref was set to false (the default) I'm sure it was set correctly prior to the partial update.
I reset the pref to true yesterday, and everything seemed fine.
However, today I started getting the above netError

The Fix:
Had to set security.enable_ssl2 (no typo there) to true in order for the ssl3 pref to be recognized.
Secnews only uses ssl3
