If you use http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/ ... ox-builds/
They work fine latest-trunk will still crash on startup.

With the latest hourly build (071223) I can't send messages with Gmail, when I press 'send', an error message pops up:
With the same settings, it works with 070316 build but failed on 071223 build.

It works fine for me. And the problem I have reported a bit above for saving message seems also to have been fixed.
Using: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.2; en-US; rv:1.9a7pre) Gecko/2007071305 Thunderbird/3.0a1pre ID:2007071305

I am guessing it is related to https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=311657

Just got an update notification (automated) for my build:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US;
rv:1.9a7pre) Gecko/2007070705 Thunderbird/3.0a1pre ID:2007071305
After applying the update TB wouldn't start, like always since version changed from 1.9a6 to 1.9a7. Down loaded the full installer build and installed it. Like yesterday with above build I then had first to start TB with my standard profile in safe-mode, since then it starts fine in normal mode.
Current build: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9a7pre) Gecko/2007071318 Thunderbird/3.0a1pre ID:2007071318
Just to let you know...
Toscha

mscott checkin # 379396
seems to have fixed the recent trunk problems.
Although, I did have to fumble around a bit to get it to work,
(loaded houry first, then overlaid with latest-trunk build)
I feel pretty confident that this is fixed, and that the problem was Talkback and breakpad can't live together.
Now what about the 150+ registry enties that I have due to talkback registering itself each time I udated.
Oh well, the perils of navigating the "Minefield" I guess.

I guess we'll find out soon once the 2007071504 nightly will be available... JoeS wrote:Now what about the 150+ registry enties that I have due to talkback registering itself each time I udated. Oh well, the perils of navigating the "Minefield" I guess.
I simply deleted them from registry.
