These builds were built from CVS using Visual C++ .NET 2003 using some optimizations.
**These builds have the jpeg patch.
**These builds have the patch for Bug 234717 found here.

---
These builds has the following optimizations:
Build 1: -O2 -c -GL7
Build 2: -O2 -c -GL6 -arch:SSE
**The -c switch is only there to speed my build process up.
---
Download Build 1: http://rickyb.home.dixie-net.com/Firefo ... O2-GL7.exe (5.91 MB) 7-Zip SFX
Download Build 2: http://djeter.home.dixie-net.com/Firefo ... L6-SSE.exe (5.38 MB) 7-Zip SFX

I'm not completely sure if /GL7 is a valid option with .NET. After reading through the docs, it's basically just a toggle: /GL[-]. Although it accepted it, it's still compiled for a 586. So, the GL7 build really doesn't seem very peppy on this end. :|

/GL7 is same as /GL /G7

Ok, that was what I was unclear on. No wonder it's slower on this machine then. I guess /GL6 would be more appropriate for a PIII then. Forgive me, I'm half asleep.

Since this is double-build day, I am in the process of uploading my O2/GL6/SSE build. It should be available by 7:00 AM CST. I'm updating this topic now to reflect the addition of the new build since I won't be at home when the upload finishes.

whew! talk about your up and down days. i got excited when i saw djeter's 03/03 build already this morning. then, it was a real downer when it was only the -G7 build. now we're excited again 'cause here's a -G6 build! some trepidation when i read the 'don't download til 7 cst' (i was already downloading). but it's 8:30, life is good. thanks, djeter.

This O2/GL6/SSE build is really smooth. I haven't benchmarked anything yet, but it does seem faster than previous builds.

Yes indeed as this -O2-GL6-SSE build, has just confirmed that it is a little more peppy then your -O2-G6-SSE 20040302 build from yesterday...

DOM Test Cases, that most of us are familiar with...

Good deal djeter, and thanks again...:)

EDIT*** I have just noticed that my 'sig' is not being displayed, and it is checked in 'My Profile' to always be displayed...Also checked in each type of reply to be displayed to...Attach signature--------->is checked in both 'Quick Reply & Post Reply'

Hmm, that's odd. It seems to be working fine here...

djeter, lol, sorry man as I just checked on Mozillazine-General Forum, and they have all been turned off on Feb.22nd, so I had to go into 'My Profile' again, and check the boxes again...

Now all is fine, both avatatrs and sigs are being displayed...

That's alright. I actually forgot about the sigs and avatars being turned off myself. I rechecked those settings almost as soon as it was turned off on the 22nd, so I really didn't pay much attention to it.

Well, it doesn't look like I'll be getting a build in for 2002-03-04 at this rate: :(

Code: Select all
nsAppShellService.cpp
c:/Mozilla\mozilla\xpfe\appshell\src\nsAppShellService.cpp(89) : fatal error C1083: Cannot open include file: 'nsIProfileMigrator.h': No such file or directory
make[4]: *** [nsAppShellService.obj] Error 2
make[4]: Leaving directory 'cygdrive/c/Mozilla/mozilla/xpfe/appshell/src'
make[3]: *** [libs] Error 2
make[3]: Leaving directory 'cygdrive/c/Mozilla/mozilla/xpfe/appshell'
make[2]: [tier_9] Error 2
make[2]: Leaving directory 'cygdrive/c/Mozilla/mozilla/'
make[1]: *** [default] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory 'cygdrive/c/Mozilla/mozilla/'
make: *** [build] Error 2

I've had this problem before, and all I could do is wait... then I ended up repulling everything, something I would have to do pretty quick if I have to before (once again) the weather gets rough. And from what I'm seeing right now from the Firefox Tinderbox, something is definately not right in the Win32 department. Usually when that Win32 machine won't build, mine won't either. So I don't think repulling would do any good right now... All I can really do right now is wait and if I don't see any changes in the next 30-45 minutes or so, I'll wait until after I wake up later and see what's up then.
